Being right on the Intracoastal Waterway does occasionally bring unexpected wake activity, especially during busy boating periods like this holiday weekend. At the time, South Carolina was experiencing drought conditions along with unusually low king tides, which created some challenging circumstances that were unfortunately beyond our control. Being situated directly on the ICW can occasionally bring some wake activity, but we’re located in a designated no-wake zone and appreciate your understanding. Our on-site restaurant is currently closed for exciting upgrades and renovations, with plans to reopen soon — we can’t wait to share the new experience with our guests! In the meantime, there’s a nearby truck stop within walking distance that offers hot meals. Our pump-out service remains available; vessels simply need to come inside by the fuel dock for access. We’re always working to enhance our amenities and look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip through the area!

Regarding fuel access, we understand the challenges deeper-keeled vessels face, especially with the current drought conditions and recent king tides reducing water levels more than usual. Even with recent dredging, these natural factors have made it difficult for deeper drafts to safely reach the fuel dock, and we appreciate your patience as we work through these ongoing environmental impacts. We also hear your concerns about the amenities — you're absolutely right, and we’re currently in the process of getting a new restaurant up and running and will be updating all promotional materials to better reflect what's currently available at the marina. Transparency is important to us, and we thank you for pointing that out. We hope to welcome you back under improved conditions soon.

Due to the ongoing drought conditions in South Carolina, combined with a recent king tide, water levels at the marina have been significantly lower than usual. This has made access particularly difficult for vessels with deeper drafts like yours. Even following a recent dredge, the unusually low water levels still present safety concerns and challenges for reaching the fuel dock.
