I am writing to formally complain about serious safety and service failures that occurred on [date].
While tied at slip [original slip #], the cleats pulled out of the dock.
I was moved to another slip that had no electrical power; I was forced to run my generator for about 30 hours.
While at the second dock where pilings and boards were loose and unsafe.
These failures created significant safety risks and inconvenience, and resulted in fuel and operating costs for the generator. I request the following:

Docks are in poor condition, my electric post did not work all season, had to drag power cord across the dock, voltage was low so batteries are weak. Food in restaurant is TERRIBLE, no more valet for marina was a poor decision which makes the parking situation horrible. Will be back at Danfords, just want the conditions to be better. On a positive note, Tori, Ryan and the rest of the dock crew are great

Chris, i appreciate your honesty and will do my best to correct any issues you had in your slip for next season. That being said the review is a copy and paste from the past and we have nothing to do with the restaurant and the valet is also the restaurant and out of our control. I think the marina and especially the staff who go above and beyond for not just the seasonal guests but our transient deserve better than a 1 star review. I will continue to work on a better situation for the parking but for now i can only offer the free monthly parking pass to each seasonal boater. Exceptional dock hands and service make this marina stand out. The location is great for exploring the town. The weekend music at the hotel can be a bit loud but calms down fairly early.

It is a beautiful town and well Maintained marina. Very friendly staff. The negatives are that it is very loud from the ferries going in and out which also caused small waves all night in your slip. Also, the music is great…if you stay outside your boat…but don’t plan on going to sleep before 11pm. Also, wish the gas dock had a pump out.

Love Danfords, great town for shopping and restaurants with a beautiful setting. Dock manager very nice guy and helpful. This is an annual visit for us.

Great spot great location they put us just behind the mega yachts very convenient to the city. Lots of ferry traffic, but it didn’t seem to bother us at all.

Great staff, Music from the gazebo ended promptly every night, slept well, no issues with the ferry in the area. Easy marina bathroom access for showers (needs the mold cleaned up and made bigger, strange shower design, no shelving for soap and body wash), Great town to explore right at the dock, everything you need in walking distance. THE ONLY CON is that dockage fees are getting quite pricey.

As in other hospitality industries, rates are subject to change and will fluctuate based on demand, as Danfords utilizes dynamic pricing. Base rates do not include electricity. Certain dates will include a minimum night stay and/or a minimum LOA requirement of 35' for the 2023 boating season.
