Second stay with Herreshoff the ball this time was well inside near the dock. Great location. Unfortunately there was a wedding reception on shore at the tent so noise was annoying for a while. But that is just our luck.. Not a negative on the marina. I would recommend this place over the town moorings any day. Try them.. You just may be surprised.

I stayed at the Herreshoff Marine Museum for their annual Classic Regatta. If you haven't visited, it is simply a national treasure. The museum is more than a visit with the Herreshoff family, it is a visit with the history of yachting in America.

Always enjoyable. The marina is located well, the moorings are easy to use. The museum is enjoyable. The walk to raown is short. Restaurants are plentiful

Great staff and fun museum. Good facilities but I wish they were open later in the evenings.

The restrooms were locked. Rough place, being waked by passing boats. No launch. The shops about 5 or 6 blocks away were Great!!

The staff couldn't be nicer, and communicated well in advance of our arrival. The museum is amazing. A must see. The moorings, not so great. The mooring field is really outside of Bristol Harbor. EVERY boat entering and leaving the harbor did so at half or full throttle. Wakes were constant from sunrise to sunset. Other moorings inside the harbor (municipal, BYC) were much more sheltered. Maybe midweek would be better?

We selected a mooring for overnight. The mooring, and the dinghy dock were fine. The bathroom / shower situation could be better. Essentially, boaters use the restroom of the museum. It is neither secure (when showering) nor private. Location is great in downtown Bristol.

Really enjoyed the quite Mariner Town of Bristol and its rich history.

No bathroom or showers. The dinghy dock is an embarrassment for such a facility. Splinters in the hand and screw heads attacking the dinghies.

The woman at the front desk in the museum was wonderful!! We spent a lot of time in the museum. Went back about 4.30 to use the showers (hooks would be helpful). Mooring was close to dinghy dock - lots of room. Easy walking into town. Enjoyable stay!!

Nice anchorage, a bit open and subject to waves from passing boats. The Museum is a must see. Went to town for dinner and came back to a jazz concert. Do have to dinghy, but not far.

It’s a nice setting but facilities are limited to when the Herreshoff Museum is open. The Museum is definitely worth visiting. It’s an easy walk into town for restaurants and Gray’s ice cream- very tasty. The moorings are exposed to winds from the south/southwest. No launch service.
