Sure, you can't beat the location, but what made ours a great stay was how welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful the staff was, from the harbormaster right down to individual dockmasters. I'm used to more, shall we say, stand-offish behaviour from locals (we're from Maine); I mentioned that to the dockmaster and he said, "We're in the hospitality business." You have to keep your head up when coming in or going out, as it is right on the other side of the ferry dock, and there are several other commercial tour operators on adjacent slips, so there's a lot of large vessel traffic. The channel from the inner harbour to Lewis Bay is narrow, so timing and awareness are paramount.

Great stay for Memorial Day weekend. Very clean and convenient marina, close to everything, boat ramp just around the corner. Very well protected in the inner harbor! The entire harbormaster dept was extremely accommodating to all our needs. The set us up with power and helped with finding overnight parking for our trailer. We’ll definitely be back to visit. Capt. About Hyannis - Gateway Marina
Gateway Marina is a small marina and is town owned; located in the village of Hyannis. The Marina is situated in Hyannis Inner Harbor and is a short walk from main street Hyannis. It can accommodate smaller vessels up to 25 feet.
Harbormaster staff is not on location 24/7. You can request assistance and we will respond if available VHF09 or 508-790-6273.
The majority of the slips are contract with a few transients for visitors. The Marina offers water and electricity along the bulkhead. The is a quite Marina with minimal wake, wind impacts due to its location.
Transient parking passes are available for transient bookings. Parking abuts the Marina slips.
