Safe Harbor Great Oak Landing

Great spot. The staff was responsive on the VHF and very helpful throughout the stay. Restaurant temporarily closed, but Milanos Pizza delivered. Internet is spotty, and bathhouse has a 10 digit cyber code as a required password. Good luck typing it in the dark. All that aside, a wonderful and relaxing place to spend a night.

Dock crew were wonderful! Marina itself has so much potential and hopefully they will make great use of the building housing a now defunct restaurant. The pool was not open when we arrived, but it's early in the season so we were not surprised. The entrance to the creek is very shallow and a bit treacherous to navigate, but the marina gave great explicit directions on how to enter and exit. They even had their escort boat lead us out to safe water the next morning. The docks are old but serviceable. It's a beautiful area.

We were very impressed with the service, great fuel prices and setting. Sorry we did not stop here during the summer when the lodge, pool, beach areas are hopping. The inlet is a little tricky for deeper drafts. Safe Harbor crew actually boated out to lead us in. Now that is service!

We stopped here to pick up fuel on our way North. Lele, the dockmaster, was very helpful in providing us with details on navigating in and out of the channel. Lele was also a pleasure to talk to, and she gave us great information about this marina. We look forward to visiting for a longer stay! Thank You!

Leanna and crew are the hardest working dock staff we've seen! The facilities are in great shape and docks sturdy. The setting and atmosphere are excellent. Its not a town or city. Its remote, which we LOVE, with a cool beach bar and good restaurant. The whole place is like the old family summer resorts in the catskills or Poconos... like in "Dirty Dancing" or "Marvelous Mrs Maisel".

Great dock staff and restaurant

really cool Marina on the east side of the Chesapeake Bay. There’s plenty to do with a beach area, playgrounds pools, and some restaurants. It is a big property so the walk gets a little far going to the beach.

We had a fun stay at Safe Harbor Great Oak Landing this weekend. There were some great things and some less than great things: + - Dockhands were very nice and very helpful! + - The beach area and JelLeefish Joel’s are so fun and the waitstaff there were wonderful + - The views are beautiful - Our experience at the main restaurant was less than stellar. We heard same from others we met there. Hopefully, this is growing pains as under new ownership. Lastly, we were at F Dock. There were two large boats at the end of the dock that were literally infested with hundreds, if not thousands, of swallows. The poor boat owners, I am not even sure what they will do when they return. Because of that, some of those swallows found their way to every boat’s rails and masts on occasion. We had to clean up bird crap both days we were there. I think the marina needs to figure that out.

Terrific Marina, very good restaurant. Deck hands were fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay, we will definitely be back.
