Great marina, great location, enjoyable town, but the City-provided Pump Out was not strong enough to vac out the tank. I went to another nearby marina and paid the $10 fee.

Very disappointed, seems most of the grills have been removed along with picnic tables. Bathrooms were ok, but showers were a bit nasty. We have been visiting every Memorial Day for the last 10 years. We probably will look for an alternate adventure next year...Lou

Love the marina being amongst the Museum. Shep and Jim were really helpful and everyone we met on the dock were friendly. Only complaint is that the Comfort station could use some more AC. It was a very humid weekend so the shower, which was great, never gave relief from the humidity. Having washers and dryers available was a special bonus! Would definitely return.

The instructions say the Dockmaster isn’t present and they are right so read the email - it’s all in there! The marina is right in town and the bath/shower facilities are nice!

Wonderful stay at Manteo Marina. Timed the “First Friday” so enjoyed live bands and a festive atmosphere. The town is lovely! The only downside is the low depth coming into the harbor, we saw 3.7 feet, though close to low tide.

Great location, nice dock facilities, power and water. The free community pump out is very slow and needs restarting frequently. Also can be shallow. Nice town and amenities.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was great with an extra shout out to Jim. Proximity to the town was perfect. Easy access to Nags Head and the outer banks.

Spent one night on the free dock and a second night with the marina. A little bit out of the way, but very cute town, friendly staff, and nice respite. Getting in and out of Manteo channel was a bit nerve wracking with a 5.5’ draw, but did not touch going in/out. If you draw more than 4.5’, worth reaching out to get advice on any recent shoaling.

Very reasonable pricing in the heart of the downtown shopping district. Friendly staff and clean showers and laundry. Highly recommend but stay in the channel markers.

Manteo as a whole is a hidden gem and so is this marina. The marina is well protected, the docks in good shape, and the dockmaster, Barry, was extremely helpful and friendly. Other tenants of the marina were friendly as well. The dockage rate is very reasonable. Restaurants, bars, coffee , and shopping right at the marina. Grocery store medium walk/ short drive. This is a great detour off the standard ICW route and the Washington Baum bridge typically provides a couple extra feet of clearance as compared to Wilkerson. The ride south into Pamlico Sound is beautiful and you can reconnect with the ICW at the Neuse River same day for most boats.

Marina is showing its age. Lights lighting dock while you walk at not working. Nice location, very convenient to stores and restaurants.

Good location. They send you an email about the approach and other key information. There’s no one there to help you dock, if needed. Check in is done over the radio. The slip we had reserved was given to someone else. We had request Starboard side tie-up so wound up on outside T-head.

Awsome marina right in the center of beautiful Manteo, NC. Facility is first rate. Easy, well marked channel to enter bay and Marina. Everything is just a few steps outside of the Marina. Will definitely go back.

Arrived on Saturday afternoon. The dockmaster was courteous and the docks are in excellent repair. Power and water available. Quiet after hours and Manteo is a great small town with shops and restaurants. We will have Manteo on our regular schedule.

Marina facilities were nice and very convenient, being right in the heart of town…we very much enjoyed our stay. Strong southwest winds coming across Shallowbag Bay directly into the marina made getting into the slip a bit of a challenge, especially trying to turn the boat between the docks and the gazebo. I certainly recommend this marina; just be prepared depending on wind direction.

We had a great stay. The marina is beautiful and well kept. One thing we found unusual is the lack of cleats on the docks - they would have been helpful while docking a sailboat without auxiliary propulsion downwind (in S or SE breeze).

Nice clean laundry and showers but the laundry machines were inop due to the coin boxes being full. Wi Fi was weak out on the dock. Info system on arrival worked but not having any dockhands is a negaative. Great laocation ritght downtown - well nprotected.

Had to wedge into a slip about 1 foot wider than my boat. Finger piers too short, had to climb over the rail on the bow. No wifi in the marina. One toilet in the restroom for 7 transient boats and at least two liveaboards just not enough.
About Manteo Waterfront Marina
Manteo Waterfront Marina is owned and operated by the Town of Manteo and features a short walk to the heart of the Manteo historic district that features shops, a movie theater, art gallery and restaurants. Slips feature water, electric, and Wi-Fi.
The Manteo Waterfront Marina is located in a tranquil setting less than a mile from the Roanoke Sound. It is a small, deep, and well-protected harbor, and can accommodate vessels up to 150 feet in length. The marina has 53 slips. There are approximately 20 transient slips and 33 slips dedicated to seasonal and annual boaters. Rates are based on length-of-stay and size of boat. Pump out service is available at the marina and fuel is available at marinas nearby. Casual dining, shopping, and supplies are all within walking distance of the marina.
All slips feature 30 and 50 amp power, and free Wi-Fi. The air-conditioned comfort station located at the marina features separate men's and women's restrooms, clean showers, and coin operated washer and dryer. The Town of Manteo also provides free overnight tie-up with no services on a "space available" basis; or you may anchor in good holding between the Waterfront Gazebo and Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse and take your dinghy to the dock. Anchoring in Shallowbag Bay, Doughs Creek, and Scarboro Creek is restricted to 10 days in any 30-day period.
