South Benson Marina is a hidden gem along the Connecticut Gold Coast. At the mouth of the marina, Eric (at South Benson Outfitters) greets you with a smile, fuel or a pump-out. The marina is looked after by a capable police force and they even offer loaner life-jackets for those in need. I am thoroughly impressed by the operation.

About Town Of Fairfield
South Benson Marina accommodates about 600 boats, from 14.1 to 36 feet in length. Boat slips are available exclusively to full-time Town of Fairfield residents. The marina features a boat launch ramp, bathroom facilities, picnic tables, a bait shack, and a fishing pier. Transient dockage is available to residents and non-residents at $2 per foot per day, offering convenient short-term access to the marina’s amenities. Adjacent to Jennings Beach and Ash Creek Open Space, the area also provides picnic areas, playgrounds, and scenic walking trails, making it an ideal spot for boating and waterfront recreation along the Long Island Sound.
