Everything we needed.

It was as expected for the fee. 50 amp service was fine. You should get new plastic covers for the electrical stations. They have been damaged and are falling off.

Close to grocery shopping, nice dock. Library across the street. Ace Hardware 4 blocks away. They have removed garbage cans from the dock. Have to go across the street to land waste. The Electrical pedestals are in rough shape. Working, but covers broken, and one not even bolted to the dock any longer!.We love stopping and shopping here, but obviously the city is not interested in attracted boat shoppers to their pretty city.đ„

You have to be able to get off the boat from either bow or stern. No other way. Other than that, very convenient location. Can be a bit loud during the day only.

Great location! Cafe & coffee shop with homemade ice cream a block away. DG Market about .5 mile. Challenge to back (or bow) in between pilings but secure, no wakes, just some bridge noise. Great for the price!

Having done the Great Loop twice, plus other very long boat trips in the US, Iâve stayed at many marinas, âof all shapes and sizesâ. My overnight stay last night was very stressful, for reasons that I probably shouldnât go into on this forum. I need to speak to the person who runs LaBelle City Dock (who Iâve tried to call), and I hope someone contacts me. Thank you.

No place to be if itâs blowing N,E,or W. No finger docks, and no outer piles. Marginal electrical receptacles, no showers, murky fresh water, minimal garbage contains . Overpriced, will not return. Anchor out and dingy to the docks east of the very noisy bridge.

Docks were just poles. Water was orange. Bridge traffic noisy. Nobody to catch a line.
Marina Response:
We appreciate the feedback, though most of what youâve mentioned is clearly outlined in advance.
The docks are, in fact, fixed pilingsâas shown in photos and descriptions. We are an unmanned facility, which is also stated on the listing, so there is no dock staff available to assist with lines. Additionally, our location adjacent to the bridge is not exactly a surpriseâitâs visible on any chart or map prior to arrival.
As for the âorangeâ water, thatâs a natural condition of the waterway and not something any marina controls.
We aim to be transparent about what we offer so boaters can make informed decisions. This location may not suit everyone, but none of these conditions are hidden or unexpected.by Rachael V. - Verified user on Mar 22, 2026
Unfortunately had a poor experience with this marina twice. First time was 2 years ago when we attempted to reserve and just never got an answer. We had to find a spot to anchor. We reserved again recently hoping for a better experience. We went to pull into the side slips (no power) and could not back in due to the water being so low- we were bringing up mud. We tried to pull in but the docks were not long enough to come to mid ship. After several attempts we tried to call the contact on dockwa whose voicemail redirected us back to dockwa. I messaged and asked about tying parallel as it was the only way to fit. Very short response saying no and noted the depth was 6â (basically telling me I was wrong that it was too shallow). Eventually we got tied up in another slip but the communication with the manager or whoever is running it was disappointing. Poor customer service. If your boat is over 30â donât bother. Or just donât bother whatever your length.
Marina Response:
Weâre going to clarify this, as the review does not reflect what actually occurred.
The message thread shows that you contacted us through Dockwa, were advised of conditions, and were ultimately approved to use a different slip when the finger docks were not suitable. That is exactly how the process is intended to work, and you were accommodated accordingly.
Our Dockwa instructions clearly state that vessels should use the finger docks if they can do so safely, and if not, to contact us via Dockwa so we can confirm availability at the main dock. That direction is explicit. Calling outside numbers that are not listed on our official platforms will not reach staff managing dock operations.
Side-tying is not permitted, and that policy is applied consistently for safety and access reasons.
Itâs also important to clarify that your prior reservation was cancelled by you, noting that you believed your vessel was too large and planned to anchor instead. We regularly accommodate vessels of similar and larger size when conditions and fit allow.
We make every effort to work with boaters, but not every vessel is suitable for every slip or condition at all times. We strongly encourage reviewing docking instructions, communication procedures, and vessel limitations prior to arrival.by Michael G. - Verified user on Mar 18, 2026
Avoid if possible!
There is no access from the docks with power. Small finger docks have very shallow depth and there is a ~6" tidal change which was unexpected being above the lock. If you don't need power, you are threatened with additional fees if you don't use the little finger docks, which are dangerously shallow. We ended up aground with a boat that can draw 2'. We saw no stated controlling depth anywhere, nor were we advised of depths. Overnight there is extreme bright lighting which we imagined was needed to keep vagrants away. It is EXTREMELY loud due to traffic passing over the bridge all night. On our visit there were noisy teens fishing at 0130 in the morning. We initially reserved two days, but departed early after the first night. We asked for a refund and were essentially told to pack sand. We would have been FAR better off to simply anchor out.
Marina Response:
Weâre sorry the stay didnât meet your expectations, but a few points need to be clarified.
At the time of your reservation, the only slip that could accommodate your vessel was already occupied, which is why you were placed on the waitlist. We donât move other boaters to make roomâavailability is based on vessel size and safety, not preference.
Our docking instructions clearly state to use the finger docks only if you can do so safely. Conditions like depth and tidal change are part of normal boating, and itâs ultimately the operatorâs responsibility to determine whether a location is suitable for their vessel. Running aground with a 2â draft isnât something we can control from the dock.
We also do not âthreatenâ guests. Our policies and rates are clearly stated and applied consistently.
As for lighting, bridge traffic, and activity in a public areaâthose are typical conditions for this location and not something we present as otherwise.
Lastly, our refund policy is provided at the time of booking and applies equally to all reservations. Leaving early doesnât change those terms.
We always recommend reviewing conditions, policies, and your vesselâs requirements ahead of arrival to ensure a good fit.by Robert C. - Verified user on Mar 13, 2026
Dock facilities were very nice and easy to access. LaBelle is a lovely small town and we enjoyed riding our bikes around. The only reason for 4 stars is the amount of road noise from the nearby bascule bridge.

Nice location - walkable to shopping and restaurants.
We had to pull in stern first since there are no piers coming out from the dock which made it a little tricky getting on and off. We have a dinghy on the back, so we would have had to untie it and put it in the water to back in. Public bathroom was locked at the nearby park.

We had a reservation for slip 4 with 50 amp hookup, paid for that but got there and another boat was in that slip. Not sure why have a reservation if it doesnât hold.

Liked the proximity to town businesses. Power and water worked well. I had to bow in as wind upon arrival prevented stern in. Had 4.7 feet at the dock so glad I went bow in. Only problem is no cleats on pickings to keep lines in place. Slides down piling if not careful and catch between piling and feeders

Fine place for a nights stay. No facilities other than electric (which was expensive) but price is great and decent location next to a lovely park and walking distance to grocery store. Bridge traffic is noisy but otherwise a peaceful night.

We chose no services so that's what we got. Very shallow near the quay. Easy walk to town and Forrey Restaurant. Lots of truck traffic over the nearby bridge.

I have a 25 foot outboard powered trawler, and requested one of the slips with a finger dock and no power. The finger docks are only about 12 feet long and the water is so shoal as one approaches the main dock that the boat runs aground. I tried 3 different slips and gave up. These slips are not safe. I have asked for a refund.
Marina Response:
We apologize for the inconvenience; I will have to reach out to the 40-footer that drafted 5 feet and see how he pulled it off a couple weeks ago with no meaningful water level change.by Chuck S. - Verified user on Dec 14, 2025
LaBelle is a great place to spend a couple days. There is a 3 day maximum. Even though they charge now (no doubt to pay for Dockwa) itâs still good. The restaurants are very good and stores are all within walking distance. 3 stars are for the difficulty getting on and off the boat.

No power available! Tried two stanchions. We were in slip #1. Called city marina phone, no answer. Wrote email to one listed on our reservation letter, no response. I realize it was Sunday but we reserved and expected electric. Lost all our refrigerated food. Refund would be appreciated. Your website should be updated.
Marina Response:
We sent someone down first thing this morning and confirmed all power was working. The issue must be on your end. We apologize your stay wasnât what youâd hoped for. Had you sent a message when you got in we could have sent someone down right away but we found out about your problem from a review.by Joerg S. - Verified user on Jun 16, 2025
We had a wonderful stay on the dock. Water and 50A power are available.
