The SHYC is a first class operation. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Entry into the harbor and marina is exceptionally easy. The marina is protected by multiple breakwaters. The overall harbor of Stonington is picture perfect. Their new launch service has a beautifuly restored launch. On site dining is so convenient as well.

Very friendly and good food when open. The water on the dock was not yet turned on for Memorial Day Weekend. After asking about how to access showers and heads on Sunday, we were locked out and couldn’t access them. Ridiculously high priced dock space without a hot shower on a cold rainy Sunday. They should definitely tell their staff how visiting yachtsmen can access the facilities when the clubhouse is closed.

Nice place . Not cheap. $222, October, with BoatUS discount , before tax , for 37’ . Staff was great. Electric on dock was intermittent on one leg. Stonington is a cool town to visit .

We had a delightful stay in Stonington at the Stonington Harbor Yacht Club. We cam in during a miserable storm with very rough conditions and late. Yet Club members and staff cam to catch our lines and help us tie our boat up. We had dinner at the club and were delighted with our meal. We also were very happy to run into and join boating friends at dinner. The next days we enjoyed exploring Stonington and it restaurant, stores, beautiful parks and wonderful historic nomes.

I am not sure you received my message. We would like a refund as we were STUCK on our boat. The launch that was supposed to run until 9Pm. Stopped running as soon as we moored at 5:30pm.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you experienced. On that day, the launch hours were changed and shortened from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM for rest of the season. Unfortunately, the launch driver did not hear your call at 5:30 PM on channel 78. I understand that I previously mentioned the launch was scheduled to run until 9:00 PM, so I apologize for not realizing the hours had changed on that day. We will be processing a full refund for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Great service, great location, Amy the dockmaster could not have been nicer. Stonington Yacht Harbor is very close to town, good docks reasonably well protected from weather.

Beautiful, tranquil mooring area. Launch Captains are very personable, accommodating and knowledgeable. The club bar and restaurant are both fantastic. Food was excellent As was service. Worthwhile stop.

Great location but access to club facilities is available only during the club's open hours. So no access to the head, shower or laundry at night or on Sunday (but you still pay for them).

Where Historic Charm Meets the Open Sea Nestled at the mouth of Stonington Harbor, the Stonington Harbor Yacht Club (SHYC) offers boaters an idyllic gateway to Fishers Island and Long Island Sound. Steps from our docks, you’ll find yourself immersed in an 18th-century village filled with historic landmarks, boutique shopping, and premier dining. Don’t miss Dubois Beach—located just a short stroll away—where you can relax while taking in a rare view of three different states at once.

Dockage & Moorings Whether you’re stopping for the night or staying for the week, we offer premium accommodation for vessels of all sizes:

• Transient Dockage: Located on our western face, our slips offer effortless tie-ups and front-row seats to spectacular Atlantic sunsets. We can accommodate drafts up to 8’ and vessels up to 175’ LOA. Pricing is $6.00+ a foot.

• We provide 12 secure moorings for multi-night stays, suitable for boats up to 45 feet in length. However, 2 of the moorings can accommodate boats up to 55 feet. $100+ a night (includes launch service)

Guest Amenities Experience the best of SHYC hospitality during your visit: • Dining: Join us for lunch or dinner in our elegant dining room or enjoy the breeze on the terrace.

• Facilities: Guests have full access to our shower facilities during clubhouse hours.

• Connectivity: Stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the clubhouse and terrace.

• Pet Policy: While we love our furry friends, please note that pets are not permitted inside the clubhouse or on the upper dining patio. Well-behaved pets are welcome on our lower patio area.

Fall Hours: September 8 to October 17th 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Last call for the launch will be 30 minutes prior to the end time.

For the 2026 season, users can choose between:

A Seasonal Subscription for frequent visitors. The cost of a launch subscription for the 2026 boating season is $1600 (+6.35 Sales Tax): $1,701.60
A Per-Person, Per-Trip Rate for casual guests: $10 per person.
