Staff responsive on VHF. Good location in the harbor. Only issue is coin-operated showers which we were told is being changed.

Transient mooring field is a good quarter mile from the dinghy dock, across the ferry and cruise ship channel. The showers are coin operated, a headache if not a great additional expense. We arrived on a Thursday, departing Monday, by which time all but one bathroom had run out of paper towels, and none had been cleaned. On the plus side, the marina office has electric outlets available in a small lounge and laundry area, and downtown Rockland (and Hamilton Marine) is a short 15 minute walk away

Great location for the marina very smooth at night no surge iisues at all. The staff is very nice. I just didn’t see them very often.
The marina is located next to a Coast Guard station, but it isn’t obtrusive at all. Location is great.

Couldn't have been better. The staff at the docks were friendly and helpful, particularly Duncan and Issac. Our 2 night stay turned into 3 nights as we had a mechanical issue. Over the weekend. Service manager Mike was informed over the weekend and at 8am on Monday, technician Johnathan was aboard our boat, had it diagnosed and fixed in 15 minutes. Bravo to you all. That's the way to run a business. Journeys End Marina is highly recommended!!

Visited Aug 2025 on a mooring, reviewing the mooring service. The mooring was good but note that the office closes at 4:00pm and there is no launch that I am aware of, not any other services like laundry, showers, etc. if you want to get off your boat you must use your dinghy.

We’d like to clarify a few details for future visitors: We do have a laundry service available, along with showers for guest use. Our hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sundays. In addition, the nearby yacht club also offers a launch if using a tender is challenging.

Journey's End is a nice stop over location travelling to/from Pen Bay. The mooring worked great and the facilities are nice and the staff friendly. The only drawback is that Rockland is a busy harbor with the ferries, commercial and recreational boaters. Boat wakes are frequent and the ferries don't really slow down until well within the mooring field, so these are the largest of the wakes. Otherwise as nice place to stop with access to the amenities and services of a medium size Maine town.

What makes or breaks a marina for me is not the price! It’s the staff, how helpful and welcoming they might be! The Dock master gets a 5 star - no question about that! His assistant was also amazing! Where I was not happy- disappointed is I ended up in the wrong office (I was going to pickup codes and internet password! The lady at the desk might not have had a good day! Simply put. I was disturbing her! Not the usual friendly Main attitude! She said in a demeaning tone was I a “transient”? Yea… I know the term but, it sounded not so nice! I apologized for having interrupted her day and got it while I was still alive (little drama here). I found the dock master and all was good! 149$ for the night was ok but then, you are going to charge me 1$ or 2$ for a shower! Really? Ok, just charge me an even 150$ ! I don’t know, perhaps it’s the new norme?

Very friendly and quiet marina. It’s near the coast guard dock but there was very little noise. The area is a bit industrial which is nice. No reggae bands playing all night. Lovely food and shopping in walking distance and you can’t miss the Farnsworth. Larry was a pleasure to deal with.

Love this location- USCG had some loud drilling going on, but we vacated into town where Farnsworth, shops and great live music abounds. The staff at Journeys End are so helpful and courteous. They run a great operation!!

Overpriced for mooring. They don't have a launch service although it is listed as one of the animeties.....
