Carousel Marina

Nice folks, great mooring location, bar service. Dinner slow but tasty and we were in no rush. Beautiful sunset. See ya next year!

Carousel Marina was wonderful. Their moorings & staff are first class, although we did not utilize their facilities a this visit in the past they have been top notch. We’ll be back next year.

Great last day of summer and first 2 days of fall. Always enjoy our stay here. Great dock hands! Great view of the harbor from E dock. See you next summer.

Excellent marina and friendly staff! We really appreciated the clean showers, to store, and had a great dinner. Stayed twice on a ball during the 2025 season and will certainly return.

Always a great stay and very accommodating.

Docks were fine. Showers had paper towels and well-used bath tugs and old shower curtains. Not a very friendly vibe at all except for young dock hand at gas dock when leaving very friendly. Restaurant onsite convenient and ok food. Just ok experience overall.

Very accommodating and friendly staff

Mooring buoy #21 is too close to red plastic channel marker. Our 50’ power boat’s swim platform was tapping the buoy during the night. Annoying. Also buoy #20 with a sail boat looked very close. No problem but spacing could be improved

Well cared for moorings, good dinghy dock, very good laundry facilities as well as shower. Appetizers and cocktails at the Whale Tail were excellent. The people are amazing. Evan even gave us a ride to the Botanical Gardens which we also highly recommend. Will DEFINITELY stay again next year! Exit Strategy

Based on recommendations of a several Maine cruising friend we selected Carousel and were not disappointed. much enjoyed We cleaned the waiting list and docked on the fuel dock.Everyone form the dock hands, to the Staff at the restaurant to the owner were extremely friendly and courteous. The facilities were clean and fully functional. We’ll surely go back

It pains me to give only 3 stars. The facility is much improved with new docks and the Staff is friendly. There were a few things that made our stay less than great though. First was some idiot on a large sailboat at our dock who thought it was ok to sit on the boat cabin trunk and play a guitar and sing at 2:00 AM. Not Carousel's fault. The second was a very large yacht that tied up at the Carousel fuel dock. I asked if I would be able to get fuel the next day and was told "no problem". The next day the yacht hadn't left. I asked if I could back in behind the yacht to get fuel, but needed the crew to either pull their center console tied to the side of the yacht forward a few feet or lower the twin outboards. The crew of the large yacht refused. There was noone in the Carousel office to talk to about it. We left and got fuel elsewhere (and will probably stay elsewhere next time we go to Booth Bay).

The new owners have done a great job improving the marina infrastructure, for example, new floating docks and a brighter, more inviting ship's store. Areas that still need work are the dinghy dock - access/exiting is difficult at high tide - electrical wires hanging under the dock makes getting through difficult. They put us on mooring #5, after driving around the mooring field we raised them again, no mooring #5 existed. Happened to us and several other boats. So they still have some kinks to work out. But nice people!

Wonderful people and very accommodating. They got a shower bench for me to use in their facility, going above and beyond. A cute store even with some boat supplies. We had the lobster bake on the docks. It was fun! Definitely recommend this marina!

Very welcoming telephone conversation, convenient fuel dock, clean showers and rest rooms, nice chandlery, great local restaurant. Today they were out of diesel fuel due to a mega yacht slurping up all of their fuel

I highly recommend Carousel Marina. The new owners of Carousel have done an excellent job at improving customer service and the facilities. New floats, especially at the fuel dock, are another well needed improvement. And, they have the cleanest and most modern showers in the Midcoast area! Additionally, they have a good supply of marine items that can help you get out of a jam. Help support these young business entrepreneurs and moor your boat at Carousel while visiting Boothbay Harbor.

Great location, facilities are very clean amd the restaurant and bar were great! Close walk over the foot bridge into town.

Planned to stay 2 days - had such a good time extended to 4 days. Very friendly accommodating staff; and good faculties!
