Noank Shipyard

I had to cancel last minute due to high winds. They were very understanding and refunded my dockage fee. Looking forward to staying there in the future.

It was just Fine. But parking should be thought out better for dock renters. The restaurant shouldn’t have the right to park in front of docks…

Not a good mooring field in certain conditions. Outer moorings very exposed to tidal currents and SW winds.

We could not reach anyone at the marina. We still have yet to hear back on our voicemail and email. We ended up at the end of the fuel dock, as we had a confirmed reservation but no communication. Between the harbor traffic and swells this meant this boat was rocking horribly all afternoon/night.

Great location, nice docks. Amenities are minimal, but that's fine for a smaller marina. Located right next to sea-tow which is nice. Parking adequate.

The marina overall is good . The staff try to be helpful but may be overwhelmed with boats fueling and checking in and out. I could the experience some what disorganized . When we arrived bo one answered the radio and if we had not spoken 1/2 hour before arrival, we would not known where to go. The dock hand who helped tie up the boat was inexperienced . Trash in the barrels were always full and did not seem to be emptied. The bathroom was not that clean and there was no toilet paper . These are easy fixes and my two other experiences were not like this current visit . The Dock Master was helpful but he needs to work on training some of his team . The location of the marina is excellent and all the guests we met were great.

A wonderful spot at the mouth of the Mystic River … we arrived and radioed the shipyard for a mooring assignment and then wandered through the mooring field for 45 mins looking for G7… we are not new to sailing at all and the moorings are terribly marked if marked at all, the lettered rows and #s were difficult to make sense of, there was no diagram on Dockwa or the shipyard’s website of the mooring field, so we radioed asking for some help in letting us know which area of the mooring field we should be looking in… the dude said “top of the mooring field from a birds eye view”… what would have been more helpful (since who knows where they consider “top of the mooring field”) is to have simply said “close to red buoy #8“… 🤷🏻‍♀️…also when we booked on Dockwa the date was advertised as 15% off on the day we arrived over the following 3 days and the discount was not applied. Whatever… it’s fine…, a few dollars difference to the rather good rate of $74/night… it’s the principle not the cost. We had a delicious little dinner at Haring’s with an old friend and walked with our dog in the morning through the historic house-lined streets. Lovely sweet hamlet. We might try Spicer’s next time. ☺️

On a Tuesday, so it was kind of quiet. Launch service was prompt!

Easy fueling and pump out. Very helpful crew.

I stop here every year. Always fun. Very accessible and convenient. The mooring is well marked. The staff were very helpful.

Our first time mooring in Noank. Our boat has almost 7’ draft so we were in shallow waters finding our mooring. But otherwise very nice experience. The staff at the marina are very helpful and accommodating. We inquired about winter storage so may be back there again soon.

This was our first visit to Noank Shipyard and we were pleasantly surprised! The dock hands were extremely helpful on arrival helping us with everything and giving us good information on the area. They have 2 restaurants (Abbot’s and Costello’s!!) and a few others in the area. It’s a very quiet town, great for extended bike rides. We also took our dinghy to Ram Island for a nice afternoon on a small isolated beach. The bathrooms were very clean with excellent showers. Overall, this is a fully functional quiet marina in a quiet NE town. Everyone was really nice to us.
