Mentor Harbor is not transient friendly, in our opinion. For an above average dockage fee, we were relegated to their deteriorating east beach docks and, oh by the way there is no beach. We received zero information on the locale and what else the club might have available during our stay. There was a $20 pump out charge when we expected it to be free or nominal AND we found out there was no laundry facility even though it was listed on Dockwa.
On the plus side, there is a lovely pool and restaurant with quite delicious meals and superb service. During the summer they have outdoor entertainment on Friday evenings.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall conditions are a little dated and there is deferred maintenance. Docks were in good shape. Restrooms are dated but generally clean. Diesel and pumpout available. Had a good, reasonably priced meal at the restaurant.

Dock crew was ready on our arrival. We fueled and pumped out holding tank. Best pumpout system we’ve seen in some time! Crew was at the dock to assist with lines and power.

Tha amenities make this a wonderful stop. The highlight for us was kayaking from the boat, under the bridge and into the nature preserve. The dining experience was also top notch!

Excellent facilities, wonderful staff, great food. Mentor Harbour Yachting Club should be on your "must visit" list if you're cruising Lake Erie.

We are members of another Lake Erie yacht club with reciprocal privileges at Mentor Harbor. Upon arrival we were told non-members were not allowed to pump out. After a discussion and phone call we were allowed to pump out. Dock was covered in goose poop and electrical breaker kept tripping. Had to move power cords to another outlet. Bathrooms and shower areas were not clean. Dining room was closed due to special event so had to cook dinner on the boat.

About Mentor Harbor Yachting Club
*** ATTENTION *** During the 2025 boating season, the Mentor Harbor Channel will be undergoing significant reconstruction. During April and May, reconstruction will take place on the west channel wall. As a result, all boating traffic is restricted to only using the eastern side of the existing channel. For additional details please use the link below to navigate to the MHYC webpage regarding this project.
Boaters are urged to use caution when transiting the channel.
After entering through the channel the Gas Dock is immediately off your starboard bow. Please stop there and check-in, fuel up, pump out, or make any preparations that may be necessary unless you have made prior arrangements. Thank you and enjoy your stay at Mentor Harbor Yachting Club.
