Staff was excellent and our visit to Chicago was fine. However, we never left the marina because crime is too high in the City of Chicago. Something needs to be done to fix the crime rate. It's a shame because the city is so beautiful!

We stayed for 4 nights. Love the slip we were assigned at the end of O dock, dint to watch boats coming and going. Beautiful view of the skyline. We came for 2 concerts at Soldier Field which is only about a 10 minute walk. Very convenient, we had a great time!

everything was fine except for overnight parking for truck and trailer. not a friendly and convenience alternatives.

People were great on the dock. Workers were very helpful. Bathrooms were not good. Should be attended to everyday with that many people

The restrooms were only cleaned 1 time during our 5 night stay. Several boats ignore the No Wake rules in the harbor and there are no authorities present to enforce it so the marina is very rough. It appears that they are understaffed.

Dock was in good shape, but there was no communication to us prior regarding parking or bathroom codes. Harbor lost power multiple times during the 2 day stay.

I expected a lot more, given the prices charged. Overall service was not very good. They have a lot of staff, but are not trained in customer service, nor how to work in a marina. I called for a pump out, and 30 minutes later called again, as know one showed up. When I reached someone, they said, oh, we don’t do pump outs, it is self service only. I had never heard of this before, so I did the work myself. One would think that with paying over $200 a day for a slip, that you would not have to pump out yourself. Overall, we were not impressed at all, and will not be returning.

I was a bit disappointed in the showers. It seemed a little weird to go through a public space to get to a shower.

Excellent amenities, very friendly staff. Very accommodating to our needs. Great location, near museum campus (museum, aquarium, planetarium, and Northerly Is. and more). And only a two-mile walk to the action on the river.

From the moment I pulled into Burnham Harbor, I experienced the best customer service I've experienced in 20 years of boating. The harbor master and his entire staff were very accommodating, pleasant, joyful, and welcoming. Boat Drinks added an amazingly unforgettable touch to the vibrant atmosphere. The bacon cheese burgers & italian beef quesadillas were so delicious at a fair price. The live bands captivated my attention every night. The owner Brian was so personable & friendly. Initially, I didn't know where the office was located. One of his bartenders came from behind the bar & walked me to the harbor masters office to check-in. That was so kind & impressive. The neighboring boaters helped me dock everytime I approached my transient slip. Many waved hello as I cruised by. Lastly, I really appreciated getting a discount on a daily parking pass. Overall, Burnham Harbor deserves 10 stars & 2 thumbs up! I'm looking forward to getting transient slips there regularly. Bon Voyage, Captain TJ

Harbor parking for the AC/DC concert could not have been more convenient. Pier and hook ups all there are ready when we arrived. Bathrooms clean .

At the 3p hour I put a same day transient request in at Burnham. After no confirmation and several calls with no answer, I called DuSable, so I could arrange a plan B. They politely said no availability and offered to help get me connected with Burnham, which they did. Burnham did finally send me info with gate codes but said I had to call for bathroom code. Again, several calls with no answer. When I finally did connect with them, a young Miss Attitude said they received no calls then gave me snarky instructions and said she would send additional info via Dockwa. She then ended the call stating “with all due respect, don’t call other harbors for business with us”. Then she hung up on me. When I called back, I asked why she hung up explaining that I was underway in my vessel and couldn’t hear the information she rattled off. She said “because I was done with the conversation”. When I showed up , the assigned dock was covered in bird feces and feathers (I have some pretty disgusting pictures I’m happy to provide). In the end, I’m only annoyed by the entitled rude young lady. I will not mention her name here.
All the other things such as no one available to answer the phone and the dirty dock are understandable.
All said, I give the manager on duty 5 stars resolving the situation just prior to the 6oclock hour. I was thankful for him getting me into another slip and recognizing the situation. I realize good help is hard to find these days. Thank you for turning around the experience in the end.
