I always enjoy staying at the Fort Myers Beach mooring field. It has a great dinghy dock and is so close to many restaurants.

Arrived 1800. Easy enough to find the mooring with well marked moorings. Pleasant overnight. Departed 0715.

The mooring field was a great to stay for a couple of nights. Easy to get a reservation. Bobby was extremely helpful in getting a pump out and finding the best price for fuel. Friendly and knowledgeable are the best traits in a helper when you are new to the area. Erica at the Inn was also helpful when we were in our laundry and shower adventures. A great place to stay and we will be back.

Everything was great, except the website says we have access to the pool, and I guess we used to have that access; however, the people were clear it's not for the mooring field visitors.

Quiet and convenient stop.

A great improvement from having to anchor along the approach in the past and hoping not to pull anchor when a squall came up. Your pump out staff were very friendly and helpful coming by and recommending for me to tighten up on my mooring lines so they wouldn’t wrap around the ball.

Great place with an awesome staff. Friendliest mooring field of the three on the West Coat of FL. I could live there but just passing thru.

All was good. My ball was waiting for me when I arrived. The mooring field is well labeled and close to a variety of restaurants.

The matansas mooring field in Ft. Myers Beach is up and running. Dinghy docks and facilities are restored. Ft. Myers Beach is making a come back. Lots of outside pop-up eateries and bars. On estero and in the old square. Don't know why Austin the dock master is gone. And I don't understand why we can't use the pool facilities. Patty and the new guys are great. Hope to see you next winter.

We stayed on a ball for a little over a month. Excellent facilities at a reasonable monthly rate. Better in most respects than any mooring field we have experienced on the East Coast and Keys. The like new floating dinghy dock is centrally located and near many popular restaurants and bars. The beach on the Gulf side is an easy walk. Shower rooms were kept clean and fairly new. Harbor Master and staff were very competent and welcoming (a big plus in our opinion). Weekly pump out boat was timely and quick with or without us needing to being onboard (after giving permission). The town of Ft Myers Beach is nearly fully recovered from the hurricane and is more fun than ever. The only improvement needed, which I believe they are working on, is getting a potable water delivery boat to serve the mooring field. Getting water to the boat via water jugs was far from convenient. Over all, we highly recommend this field if visiting Southwest Florida.

About Matanzas Pass Mooring Field

The Town of Fort Myers Beach proudly operates and maintains the Matanzas Pass Municipal Mooring Field. The field boasts 89 mooring balls available for public rental year-round and accommodates vessels up to 70 feet in length. Vessels larger than 70 feet in length must call the Mooring Field Office (239) 224-4118 for availability. The mooring field is located west of the Sky Bridge between San Carlos and Estero Island in Matanzas Pass. For recreational cruisers, the Matanzas Pass Mooring Field is a wonderful destination. Coming ashore at the Town public dinghy dock puts boaters in walking distance to beaches, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and public transportation.

Staff is available on site from 7am to 3 pm M-F. Best way to contact staff after hours is to message via DOCKWA. ** A mooring can't be assigned until your current boat registration and insurance with coverage dates and liability insurance of at least 100,000.00 are on file. To add these documents go to the boat tab and scroll to the bottom.**

The office does not receive mail on behalf of patrons. If you have mailing concerns, please contact the post office to set up delivery arrangements: (239) 463-7106. Fantastic Tips: For Pump out, Dinghy Dock and Parking Permits please visit Dockwa. For reservations you must have proof of insurance and boat registration uploaded into Dockwa before you will be assigned a mooring ball. You must go through Dockwa to moor in our field. You cannot come in and tie up to a ball since that ball may be already reserved for someone that went through our Dockwa reservation system.
