15th Street Marina Marathon at Boot Key Harbor

Still needs a lot of work. Near a shanty town, odors, ought to be condemned. Staff is very accomodating.

This is a fantastic little working marina. If you want fancy boats, pools, tiki bar, etc. this is not for you. The staff are nice and accommodating. Easy walk to circle K, el Nina cuban restaurant, Castaway restaurant and Burdine’s waterfront. They are currently rehabbing the docks and now have new shore power and water. The bait shop has fresh seafood and also is serving breakfast and lunch on weekends .

Very friendly marina with helpful staff and good price for the location, plus close to several restaurants . It is an area of working marinas so not a “resort” style marina but we weren’t expecting that.

Plenty of room for parking. All the bait needed next store. Near Castaways my favorite restaurant in the area. Good fresh water wash hose. All was good.

Don’t judge a book by its cover!! 15th Street was a great marina. Friendly neighbors and friendly staff. Ory was always there to answer questions or help out. Within walking distance of West Marine and the best Cuban food around the corner. Also, fresh fish or crab from the fishery attached to the marina. Thank you for a great, friendly and safe stay.

Great friendly staff and dock mates! Funky place but great location. Watch your depth coming in, a strong north wind will make it more shallow than normal. Ory is a super friendly and knowledgeable dock master.

Great place! Close to several good restaurants & lobster on-site. Ronnie goes over & above to help with transportation. The price is good, facilities are dated, but functional. Laundry & restrooms.

We spent two months here starting mid Dec 2023 and we’re departing mid Feb 2024. We spent 8 days on the north side of the island at a very expensive marina, heated pool, etc. under a strong north wind. Sleepless nights and barely used the pool. 15th provides the basic amenities and it’s VERY protected. Three transient slips, the rest live aboard and unoccupied permanents. People watch out for one another here. We have been perfectly safe contrary to our initial stereotyping of the neighborhood. The marina has trust-system laundry, deposit money in a locked box. $2 a load. Slips are 40 feet fixed and tide has moved up to 2 feet. One 30 amp plug per slip but they’re working to upgrade. Short walking distance of multiple restaurants, West Marine, and other stuff. Grocery store is a bike ride, Uber or taxi. Try Native Taxi, $8 for anything within 4 miles which is all of Marathon. The Key West bus picks up 1/4 mile away. Ronnie runs the marina and he’s a gem. He will share anything you want to know about the fishing industry in the keys, and he works to make sure you have what you need. You’ll get a real taste of the local vibe here.
