Recently transited from Boston Harbor to Oak Bluffs. The fuel prices are great. The Sandwich Marina is quiet and offers a few nice dining options right in the basin. I checked into the Harbormaster's office to be greeted by a pleasant lady who was informative and knowledgeable. 10/10 will recommend to friends. CLEAN, QUIET, QUAINT.

I’m not usually one to write a bad review, but this place has really gone downhill. I’ve been coming here for many years, and the past few weeks have been the worst experiences I’ve ever had there. First, I couldn’t find anyone available to help. There used to be helpers all over the boat ramp, ready and waiting to assist. Now, you pay $20 just to launch, and my family, who arrived in a separate vehicle, had to pay another $10 just to park. That feels absolutely ridiculous. A few weeks ago, I went to launch and saw four people standing around the harbormaster’s truck doing nothing. Not one of them offered to help. I stopped by this weekend to speak with the harbormaster and was told he was off for the weekend. Memorial Day weekend and the Harbormaster took it off. Seriously? After years of coming here, this was extremely disappointing. I’ll be spending my money elsewhere. If I could give zero stars I would!

Dear Anonymous, We are sorry to hear about your experience; our local students who assist at the ramp have not returned to work for the season. The Sandwich Marina launch fee has been $20 dollars for a number of years now which is on target with surrounding municipal marinas like Taylors point. There is a multitude of free parking for guests to join you on your voyage. Free ramp parking is located directly adjacent to the boat ramp parking lot. The paid north parking lot you are referring to is to ensure that parking opportunities are available for slip holders to access their vessels. I was delivering a boat from Mystic to Boston and the weather outside the canal was terrible. The Harbormaster was very accommodating, and had my on the spot reservation approved very quickly. The only "problem" was the long walk to the bathrooms, but overall the marina is really great. Would recommend.

Great spot BUT..... don't forget to get the combination to your dock gate before you leave for dinner. We left after the office was closed and were lucky enough to find someone heading to our dock who gave us the combination. Other wise I would have had to do some acrobatics (or swimming) to get around the gate.

Sandwich Marina is such an amazing Place. Bath house is clean, staff are extremely welcoming, nice little playground nearby and a couple great restaurants.

Calm marina - clean facilities but the facilities- heads, showers, laundry, trash are a very long walk from transient docks (H). There were no dock carts (or trash receptacles) at the end of the docks making the thought of hauling laundry bags unappealing- so we did not get our laundry done as planned. Conveniently located to restaurants and groceries. Good place to tuck in to wait for canal currents. Did get a very good nights sleep due to the calmness in the marina vs the past week on exposed moorings.

About Sandwich Marina

Since opening in 1989, the Sandwich Marina has been proudly operated by the Town of Sandwich, transforming a former harbor of refuge into a premier marina destination. Boaters can enjoy a full range of amenities, including fueling services, a private bathhouse with showers and laundry facilities, nearby restaurants, scenic bike paths, and beautiful beaches. These conveniences make Sandwich Marina an ideal stop for both short visits and extended stays.

Reservations are strongly recommended. Transient vessels may stay for a maximum of 13 consecutive nights and must vacate the marina for at least one night before returning. This policy helps ensure fair and equitable access to slips for all visitors.
