No one comes out to great, help tie up or gives you any information. Bunch of people sitting in the office doing nothing.Terrible showers They are in the public restrooms. They were one stall wide and shower head shoot water all over. No place to put your change of clothes or toiletries. Go somewhere else!!

Very nice staff. In slip pump out. Floating docks. A good staging area for Atlantic trip to Sandy Hook or beyond. Not particularly safe area

The marina is in terrible condition. My finger pier had rotten boards that created a serious safely hazard. Making that worse was the attitude and responsiveness of management. After securing the boat with no help from marina staff or dockhands, I went to check in at the marina office. In the office were three dockhands lounging around. The manager, while not rude, was certainly not pleasant and welcoming. While checking in, I reported the problem with the dock and they promised a rapid repair, which never happened. Making matters worse, the bathrooms on our end of the dock were out of order. That required a very long hike. Needless to say, this was not a good experience and I caution all transient boaters to be aware.
Marina Response:
Hey Gary, We apologize for your recent experience. We will message you to discuss further. Thank You

We were less than impressed with Golden Nugget Farley State Marina. We were originally scheduled to stay one night and we only extended the second night due to poor weather. We called ahead a couple of hours before our arrival to get our slip assignment and were informed we would be on the F dock T-head. Upon arrival we were told via radio we would not be on the T-head but instead in slip F-50. As we were rounding the T-head a dock hand was attempting to yell something at us from the south end of the T-head…it was impossible to hear him over the engine noise and the quite brisk south wind that was blowing. My wife was able to go up on deck and lean over the lifeline to hear that we would not be going to F50 but instead tying up to the south end of E dock. Too many last minute changes. This change forced unplanned course reversals in very tight maneuvering space with a stiff south wind. Being a 43 foot sail boat, maneuvering in tight quarters is challenging when planned ahead, last minute changes like this make for a dangerous situation that can easily result in damage or injury. The new spot was down wind from us and the wind pushed us into the dock, difficult to counter even with a bow thruster, very challenging to deal with without one. Add to this the challenge that the dock hand that yelled to us from F dock could and should have been on E dock to provide the assistance promised for catching lines, he was not. We managed as best we could; when we know ahead of time that we will not have assistance, we have time to make a plan and execute our docking on our own. Multiple last minute slip assignments made that impossible and we did not receive any assistance. It turned out the reason for the last minute slip change to the 3rd slip assignment, was that F 50 only had 50 amp hook ups and we had requested dual 30s. Had we know that i.e. had that been communicated timely and in a way we could hear and understand we could have taken slip F 50 anyway as we have a splitter. Of the four boats in our group not a single one wound up in their originally assigned slip. Slip assignments appear to be advisory in nature only and marina staff is not doing an effective job of ensuring boats only take slips assigned to them. Additional shortcomings includes: 1. old wooden docks that are in poor repair. One member of our group broke through a board and fell on the dock. He was not injured and did not fall in the water but had he been alone, and fallen in the water, and possibly hit his head, that could have been a very bad outcome. 2. My wife reported that there was a giant hole in the ceiling of the women’s bathroom. 3. One of the boats in a slip on E dock was using the power and water pedestal that should have been available for me, luckily we had an extension and our hose was able to reach but it was not ideal. 4. We had to ask other another boater for the codes to the gates, the location of the office and the restrooms. By the time we finally found the office, it was closed and there was no way to purchase the ice we needed until the next morning. All in all given the choice, will not stay here again unless we hear there are significant improvements. It was certainly not worth the $172.50 per night we spent for the two night stay.

Big marina, friendly enough staff. But facilities were a mess and dirty. Decent location, docks were in good shape, alleys were a bit tight but doable. Until they get restrooms cleaned up I would avoid given the price.

Good marina for a stop over from Cape May to NYC run. Docks are in decent shape but need some repair. No fuel as they have water in the tanks currently. Bathrooms are ok. Good shower and pressure. In need of some repairs/updates. Laundry 2ea washer/dryers in both mens and womens bath house areas. Enough green space to walk the dogs and get in a decent walk. Restaurant on site and some in the casino. Nothing walkable but a good stay overall. Decent help with docking. Nice floating docks.

Dock hand was not very useful

Appreciated Thomas' help docking. The marina was an easy in and out. The Golden Nugget itself needs some work. The inside is looking quite worn down. Had good fajitas at Dos Caminos, though our waiter was more interested in the tennis match than serving his customers. Had to go up twice to ask for items.

We thought the boat was having electrical issues and later found out that it was the marina’s supplied electrical which others have had similar experiences in the past. Our AC’s weren’t working and it was a terrible night for all. Supposedly their fuel dock opens at 9:00 am and not only nobody ever showed up, but no answer when calling, fuel dock, dock master or Marina’s office.
Marina Response:
Hey Ben, we apologize about the electrical issues and will further look into it. We will message you on Dockwa to discuss further. Thank You

Very disappointed with our stay. H58 had a board falling into the water that is both a tripping hazard and dangerous. A friend of mine did fall. The wood is so wet the cleats are barely holding on. The dock hands while polite did not tie up the boat safely and we retied ourselves. One bathroom is out of commission and the other Women's bathroom has a huge hole in the ceiling. At the time of arrival all 4 boats received different slip assignments causing confusion. All in all the marina and staff need improvement.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. After reading some previous reviews on WG and AC, we weren't expecting much. However, docks were decent, we had 2-3 friendly dockhands when arriving and casting off. They answered the phone and VHF when called. Bathrooms were clean and there were 2 separate facilities available. We didn't use the laundry or fuel dock. We sat at The Deck for lunch with our dogs, then listened to live music. We were able to bike to the boardwalk for a concert and some exercise. For the convenience, we found this marina completely acceptable and worth the money.

Had to stay a week for weather window. We were early in the season so the marina was not fully open. No pump out. DId not like the self service fuel dock.

Nice visit and hanging out at the pool.

All was good-they did tell me that the fuel dock can pump out station was open when in fact it wasn’t and one of the local slip owners said it’s very seldom is open. You might want to caution them to have a real idea of when it’s opening closed.

Great safety stop from foul weather.

The staff is friendly and helpful but the facility is old and neglected. The bathrooms and showers are absolutely filthy with zero evidence that anyone cares. I've had far, far better experiences at half the price.

Nice floating docks, good fresh water pressure, good shore power, next to Casino Hotel. All city amenities are available 10' water at Linear dock at low tide. 5 nights in May 2026, great stop.

Great clean Marina, the dock attendants are always around, we have stayed here a few times

It was better than I expected. We were on H dock and it was fine. The dock next to us was growing a lot of grass, but H was in decent shape. The bathrooms and showers were clean, but pretty dark. We did go use the rooftop pool and it was heated and lovely. Views were great from the pool deck. We just needed an easy stay on our route North and it worked good for us.

No one answered multiple hails on approach. No one to help with the lines. Dock was in really bad shape to the point you felt like you might step thru the wooded slats.
