Clearly marked deep channel into marina. When we arrived, we took on fuel but had difficulty with one of the pumps. which took nearly another hour. Dock hands knowledgeable friendly and helpful. Had meal at restaurant which just reopened under new owners. Good improvements but limited menu until fully up to speed. Great stop for any loopers traveling the Tennessee river. We will keep this marina on our visit again list.

Friendly staff, Cole was very helpful

For our off season arrival, this was a friendly, responsive, quiet and very beautiful marina. You will need to cook aboard or travel afar for food in morning season. We were happy to stay here and would do so again. We draw 4.5 ft and stirred up a lot of silt. However, we did not touch ground and the approach, while narrow, was very well marked.

Nice marina and staff! Fuel prices were great but delivered cinnamon roles put it over the top!

We couldn’t get there by dark so we ended up anchoring about 45 minutes away. Called Billy because we had heard about the cinnamon rolls and we were hoping to purchase some. He said we don’t normally do that except for our guests, but if you come by in the morning around 8:30 I’ll have some for you. So we headed in through the well marked channel to the Marina and indeed Billy was there to hand off some freshly baked and incredibly tasty cinnamon rolls! Wouldn’t even let me pay for them. Just said make sure that we stop the next time we’re through for an overnight stay which we definitely will do! Great fuel prices as well that actually end ends up being less than Paris Landing with their AGLCA or BoatUs discount. If you enjoy warm southern hospitality, this is the place to stay!

It is a favorite. Definitely stopping here again. Very reasonable Diesel. They just could not do enough for us. Thanks for the Cinnamon Buns!

The folks were most accommodating as they took us for supplies. And the cinnamon rolls were delicious. Very comfortable.

10/12/2025. Pebble Isle was a nice stay for the night! Be certain to follow the very well laid channel markers on the approach to the marina as it snakes its twists and turns. We were greeted at the fuel dock with a southern greeting and a nice price of 3.39 for diesel. The restaurant was sadly closed for the season and we left too early for the breakfast cinnamon rolls that are delivered straight to your boat in the morning but other boaters shared their five star reviews for their deliciousness!

Very nice. Quiet and homemade cinnamon rolls delivered to your boat. If you need to go somewhere the dock workers will drive you.

Well marked channel into the marina, floating dock-power-water, and nice crew that even offered a ride for shopping. Can't forget hot cinnamon rolls delivered to our door in the morning by Billy. All in all a very good 2 day stay. We'd make sure to return again when passing through.

We had a great stay. Although there was not a courtesy car available for us to use, Billy drove us where we wanted to go. We also received delicious hot cinnamon rolls each morning. What a treat!

Polite and helpful staff. Marina is well protected from the commercial traffic on the river. Warm cinnamon rolls delivered to your boat in the morning! Looked like a great restaurant but we were there in off-season. Would certainly stay again!

$62 for 40 footer. Long straight dock for transients. Good electricity, clean single bathrooms for men and women. Nothing nearby in walk or bike distance. Though no courtesy car, they loaded boaters into a minivan and took us to a Walmart (with groceries) and a liquor store. In the morning of departure, they made a pan of tasty cinnamon buns and fresh coffee. In October, they are open from 8 to 4. Departed for Walmart at 230pm. You can’t ask for more. Be sure to follow their well marked channel going in and don’t cut the corner when entering.

So beautiful and wonderful staff! Great stop!

We called on the radio (68) to let them know we were coming in. They were right down to the dock to take our lines. Once tied up, they asked what time we were leaving in the morning as they wanted to deliver their hot cinnamon rolls to us. We said early as we are one of those slow boats doing the loop. They said no problem, ran up to their office and came back with frozen cinnamon rolls and icing that we could cook at our leisure. Yes, they were good and it was nice of the marina to give them too us. The docks were clean and stable. We did not wander up to the restrooms or laundry area. The dock staff did take neighboring transient boaters to the local Walmart to retrovision. We did not need provisions so we declined the invitation to join.

We had a wonderful stay at Pebble Isle Marina Home of the Grey Heron Grill Pebble Isle on the Tennessee River / Kentucky Lake! From the moment we arrived, everything was top-notch. Fuel prices were the best we’ve seen yet at $3.40 a gallon, which included the AGLCA discount (or a TowBoatUS discount of $0.10 per gallon). That alone makes it worth a stop, but there’s so much more. The fabulous Billy Baugus greeted us warmly at the fuel dock and even surprised us with delicious hot cinnamon rolls first thing in the morning, a real treat! The previous owners (who recently sold to Blue Water Marinas?) walked the docks personally to say hello and check that everything was going well with our stay, which made us feel truly welcomed. They took the time to check on a question we had which gave us peace of mind and provided extraordinary service. Bob, that was appreciated yet unexpected! A very important note: the channel is extremely well marked and easy to follow right into the marina. We had absolutely no issues navigating in, which takes all the stress out of arrival. The views are spectacular, with blue heron and egrets gracing the shoreline—peaceful and picturesque. While the restaurant is currently closed for expansion, we found that Tony’s Pizza delivers an excellent pie right to the marina, a great option during your stay. Thank you to the entire team at Pebble Isle Marina for a wonderful evening. We’ll remember this stop fondly and look forward to returning!

Wonderful, well protected, and quiet. Billy provided great service and attention. On top of that, he even provided fresh and warm cinnamon rolls prior to our departure. What a special and unexpected treat. Water depth was good. We draw 4’ and never saw less than 2’ below our keel to the dock. Transient dock is well maintained with great 240/50 amp power.

The marina bathroom was clean. Billy at the marina office was helpful, friendly and made fresh cinnamon rolls in the morning which he delivered to our boat! There is a State Park within walking distance so a great place to get some exercise on the trails.

Reserve with Dockwa 20% discount AGLCA member. AGLCA sponsor. Clearly marked channel with both red and green buoys, and red/white shallow white buoys. Billy and Bob were very helpful and met us at the fuel dock to pump out. Beautiful marina setting with rolling hills and mature trees, plenty of vehicle parking, RV sites nearby. Transient dock is not locked, but the other docks were. Grey Heron Grill on site is open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Clean courtesy van, provisions in town 2 miles away. Bob, the past owner was very friendly and helpful. FREE delicious cinnamon rolls and coffee provided for transient Looper guests! Well, protected, Marina location, follow the markers and stay in the channel. Would recommend. LOA 40’, draft 2’10”

A boater's guide to Pebble Isle Marina

Located in the tranquil Trace Creek off Kentucky Lake, Pebble Isle Marina is a boater’s oasis. Take a break from cruising the Tennessee River and spend your time relaxing dockside with a drink at the Grey-Heron Grill, stocking up on supplies in town, or taking in some history and sights hiking through the neighboring Johnsonville State Historic Park.

Approach and dockage

Pebble Isle Marina is tucked away in a large secluded cove off of the Tennessee River at mile marker 96. The marina channel will be on your port side if you are coming upstream (headed south) and marked with secondary channel markers. The channel winds a bit and takes you close to the northern shore (on your port side), so just be sure to follow the channel markers closely.

The fuel dock and marina office will be towards your port side once you are facing the marina. The transient dock is the long uncovered dock directly to the east (on the other side) of the fuel dock. Transient boats tie up along either side of the dock.

You can reach the dockmaster on VHF Channel 16 or by phone at 931-535-3827. Marina hours are 7 days a week 8-4 pm and often longer in the summer.

Pebble Isle Marina amenities

Bathrooms/Showers

One men’s and one women’s bathrooms open 24/7 on the side of the restaurant, close to the transient docks. Showers and additional bathrooms are located a bit of a hike through the parking lot and shared with the campground. They require a keycode to enter.

Laundry

Coin operated machines (one washer and one dryer) are available in the bathhouse where the showers and restrooms are located. A keycode is needed to enter.

Fuel/Pump-Out

Once you come in or before you take off, head over to the fuel dock to fuel up (gas and diesel) and pump out. Be sure to ask for the Boat US discount on fuel. (If Billy’s helping you out, also ask which of the houseboats used to belong to Dolly Parton’s sister.)

Courtesy Car

Need a quick trip into town? Our friendly team is happy to help! The marina’s courtesy car is available until 4 PM most days, with one of our crew members driving you to your destination. Perfect for a quick supply run—just keep in mind, service is based on team availability and limited to destinations within 20 minutes of the marina.

Pet-Access

The marina has access to spacious grounds to walk your pet on shore.

Morning Cinnamon Buns

If they're available when you’re there, they’re known to have fresh cinnamon buns available in the fall for boaters passing through.

Ship Store

Located on the fuel dock, the ship store has basic items for your cruising needs, from snacks to apparel to basic marine parts/accessories. If they don’t have it, they are happy to order it for you.

Repair Services

They offer mechanical, electrical, and boatyard services on site. If needed, give them a call at 931-535-3827 to discuss your boat needs and what they can offer. TowBoat US also operates out of the marina in case you need help on the water.

Grey-Heron Grill

Pebble Isle’s water-front restaurant, known for their catfish, offers a range of food and drinks in a laid-back, casual atmosphere. They’re only open seasonally (April-September), so if you aren’t able to catch them when you’re there, you’ll need the courtesy car to get to another dining option.

Proximity to attractions by land

Johnsonville State Historic Park (0.6 miles away)

Johnsonville State Historic Park is a 1,000 acre park about a half mile from the marina, full of hiking, river views, and history. It was once the site of the Johnsonville Depot, which moved supplies that came by boat to aid Union soldiers in Tennessee and Georgia. Confederate soldiers attacked the depot in the Battle of Johnsonville in 1864 during the Civil War. The area then became the town of Johnsonville, before the Tennessee Valley Authority dammed the river to create Kentucky Lake in the 1940s. Historic markers dot the grounds helping share the story of what took place years ago. The entrance is about a half mile from Pebble Isle Marina and easily walkable. However, if you want to see the whole park, recommend biking and then picking up one of the several hiking trails by foot. Heads up as there are some steep hills to climb once in the park.
