The check-in process for a mooring was very easy. The Dockmaster was very nice and helpful. The gas dock attendant was equally ice and helpful. The bar and restaurant awesome. The dinghy dock easy to access.
The mooring were very robust.
The downside mooring are very expensive with $25 convenience fee added. The go fast boats including the Staniel Cay Yacht Club boats go through the mooring field with no regard to safety or moored boats. The grocery and liquor stores were also expensive when compared to other main Bahamian hubs.
The YC staff are some of the finest in Bahamas!
Marina Response:
I'm happy to hear that you had an amazing time stay with us and we hope to see you again soon.

we stayed on a mooring ball. Seemed pricey for a ball but good access to restaurant and town for laundry and provisioning. T
High wake zone with tour boats ripping through the anchorage.

The staff were lovely, but... No showers, and really felt gouged in every way. The power was to be charged per kw but, non of the pedestal meters were working, therefore they wanted to charge $100 for my 40 ft sailboat? My previous experience at all other marinas I was charged between $5-10 USD for 2-5 day s of power. I understand that there was a charge for water as this is customary in the Bahamas. Garbage also an additional charge of $8 per bag.. Then on top of daily rate a $25 "convenience charge" on top of the resort charge of $17, and of course the expected 10% VAT. It just wasn't that great. Laundry facilities was extremely close and excellent albeit expensive, The settlement was lovely and the Bahamian's are beautiful, and extremely friendly. If I would have known I would have just gotten a mooring ball and been much happier in the long run.

Great Service. We had to change our arrival and they were wonderful. Very quick, not island time. Friendly staff all over! LIz in the dock house. The dockhand and even the gas guy was humorous. Above and beyond. Food at the SYCB restaurant - AWESOME. This is a must. Only side note, they get a lot of charter rentals. Our boat needed two thirty amp connections their pedestals on our dock only had 1 30 and 50's. They didn't have a Y-adapter or extra cord. The charter company doesn't on the boat either. So we had to run our generator. Even if they had charged me $20 forthe night. Again, focus on the positive. Wonderufl Marina and People.

I don’t know why, no floating docks, no modern amenities but for us Staniel Yacht Club is what Bahamas is all about. It is místical it is the best spot in Exuma. We have visited nonstop for the last 7 years and will always make it a must stop! The people are great, and the location increfible.

The dock had no water pressure and the power 50 amps had a bad ground burn down all me wire inside the boat on a 2024 Bali and marina take no responsibility and no service

It was our first visit. We found the people in general, including the staff, to be professional, friendly and very helpful. So welcoming. LOVED the ocean life underneath the docks. Burkes is an excellent grocery store with plenty of fresh veggies. The yacht club food, staff and island ambience were the crowning touch. ALSO, a perfect place to receive deliveries of which we had several (boat parts).

3 day stay was absolutely fantastic !!!
The hospitality gracious
Cant wait to go back
Only issue was the use of our amex.
Same place some folks would take others would refuse. Few hours apart.
Other than that, we would highly recommend Staniel Cay 1000%

Very good. Easy check in. As a smaller boat we had to move too a different dock space everyday when we came back. Otherwise no problem. However this is told to you when you check in so not unexpected

Love this marina! Everyone at Staniel Cay is super friendly and the service is excellent. Beautiful laid back island. The Yacht Club has two great options for meals either in the main dining room or at the bar area. Adequate grocery stores and fuel. Lots to see and do including Thunderball Grotto, the original swimming pigs, Lorraine's Restaurant at Blackpoint is a must see as well as the friendly sharks at Compass Cay.
Marina Response:
Thank you, Ferringo, for taking the time to award Staniel Cay Yacht Club with a 5-Star review! We are so happy you love SCYC and hope to welcome you back soon!

What a GREAT PLACE! Friendly, Helpful, great food, Great Service
by Grant J. on Jul 18, 2025
Love the place but this year sucked. No power had to run on generator for 4 days, then no gas for 3 days so couldn't use the dinghy to go have fun. I know a lot out of your control but still made for a crappy time.
by Rick M. on Jul 14, 2025
The staff was great and very helpful.
The small dock that we tied our 35’ center console was in bad repair. It was missing boards and the pilings we were tied alongside had large bolts sticking out of them. The boat on the other side of us had substantial damage. For the cost of the dock fees they could spend a little of it and put rub rails down the pilings and repair the missing boards.

Staniel is always amazing!

Docks are rudimentary wood with no cleats, we arrived at 2 which they said was check in time and waited almost 2 hours as they scrambled around trying to clear our slip. Then after I was in the slip/finger pier they parked two very large boats right behind me pretty much blocking me in. Managed to escape this morning without damaging our or anyone else’s boat. Don’t think I will return to the Staniel Cay Yacht Club Marina unless it is just to stop in and fuel up and keep on going.
If we come back to this area we will stay at Compass and use our tender to visit the grotto or other POI’s.
